Why Affiliate Summit Sucks - 10 Reason Not to Attend

I thought it was pretty funny that I saw Shawn Collins himself actually owns AffiliateSummitSucks.com. Here are my top 10 reasons to not attend Affiliate Summit:
1. Very few actual affiliates! The majority of attendees are a bunch of little affiliate networks reps bumping into each other and fighting over the 10 affiliates there.
2. Shawn Collins has about as much excitement in his body as I have in my pinky toe. I have know him casually for 5 or 6 years and he can hardly muster a hello when I see him at conferences!
3. Missy Ward used to work at CPA Empire, one of the original spam networks. What has she ever done?
4. There are much better things you could be doing with your time like actually meeting affilaites or building sites.
5. Actual sessions are extremely basic and cater to the most novice people in the Industry.
6. Shawn Collins thinks he’s all that…what has he actually done besides manage a couple of programs in the past and been one of the first affiliate managers. Besides that, he rides off his over-inflated reputation.
7. Very little networking opportunities.
8. They charge too much money to attend and line their pockets with it instead of giving back to the affiliate world. How about making it free to affiliate to attend??
9. Because Experience Advertising will be having a real affiliate conference later this year.
10. Cuz I said so and if you know me you’ll know I know what I’m talk about! lol
This should get all the Shawn and Missy glorifiers all riled up! What fun would this industry be without a little stirring of the pot!
