Affiliate Programs:Some Horror Stories and Also Some Bad Experiences
After entering in the affiliate program management space later in 2006, after running a highly successful affiliate program for 3 years, I have had numerous companies approach me about the bad experiences they had with some of the other affiliate program managment companies out there billing themselves as such great management providers. This frankly doesn’t suprise me a bit if you look at who is actually managing your affiliate program. When hiring an affiliate management company you should be extrememly careful. Never sign with any company that makes you sign a 30 or 60 day out clause in the contract. I have recently been dealing with a prospective new client that actually signed to a 60-day out clause contract with one of these companies. Wow what a bad move because now that they aren’t happy with the growth or production of their affiliate program, they have to pay for 2 extra month (thousands of dollars) for nothing! After receiving no affiliate program growth thus far during their experience with that company. Experience Advertising never makes our clients sign even a 30-day out clause because we are confident you will be happy with the services we provide to you. If you aren’t exceedingly pleased with our services you can cancel our service even in next month without hesitation. Guess what, we haven’t had one client leave our management services yet. When you sign with a company to handle your affiliate program management and recruiting, you should expect significant growth after 3 months and then exceptional growth after 6 months. The company you hire should have a large universe of super-affiliates currently under management that they can bring into your program. They should be proactively posting on forums and contacting related website to recruit affiliates and webmaster at all times. If this isn’t going on than you are getting ripped off and need to move over to Experience Advertising, Inc. Not to mention we charge half of what the other companies charge for better services and detication to growing your program. Ask yourself: would you rather have a 20-something year old that knows nothing about SEO, PPC, HTML or driving traffic or someone like Even that has all the experience in the world and is highly respected in the online marketing community.
